As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with campus contacts, supervisors, and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide direction and assistance to visitors, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or unusual conditions.
  • Support emergency and after-hours operations by following post orders, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and preparing clear incident reports related to security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
