As a Armed Security Officer Corporate Patrol in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while helping staff, patients, and visitors feel confident throughout their experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, and/or contractors while following site protocols for restricted areas and sensitive locations.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities by assisting with de-escalation, directing people during urgent events, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
