As a Security Officer - Day Shift  in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a professional presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, operational concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor information as directed by site procedures, and document arrivals, departures, and other assigned activity.
• Support shipping and receiving area awareness by observing vehicle movement, employee and visitor activity, and/or property handling concerns, and communicate security-related issues according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
