As a Security Officer Welcome Center in Camden, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a government location, where you will help manage access, greet visitors, monitor activity, and support security-related protocols from a primary stationary post. This role is ideal for someone who values professionalism, customer service, and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to acting with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.65 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk responsibilities, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor visitor access at the front desk, verify identification and credentials, and document entries, exits, deliveries, and/or service requests in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Answer phones, greet employees, visitors, and contractors, and communicate directions, expectations, and security-related information in a professional manner.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and records related to front desk activity, access control, incidents, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security professional license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
