What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, verify authorized entry when required, and document observations, incidents, and/or unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with campus personnel, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders during routine operations and elevated situations while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
