What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and help to manage visitor, staff, and vendor movement in accordance with site-specific procedures and healthcare location expectations.
  • Support staff and visitors during medical-related, fire alarm, and/or other emergency situations by following post orders and communicating with appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital setting that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
