As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and/or operations location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized entry and/or exit in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining awareness of vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery traffic.
  • Support site operations by reporting hazards, equipment issues, and/or policy concerns, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and following post orders for routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
