As a Security Officer Patrol in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This unarmed patrol role offers the chance to support a welcoming environment, respond to site needs with clear communication, and represent a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor foot traffic, observe customer and employee activity, and document incidents, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns in accordance with post instructions.
• Support loss prevention awareness by watching for suspicious behavior, assisting with access control, and helping to maintain an orderly environment for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
