What You'll Do:
Minimum Requirements:
In-State Candidates Only: Out-of-state candidates are not a viable fit at this time, as the requirement to backfill their positions while they attend school and pass the full BLET State exam is too much of a hassle.
* BLET Certification: Please note that backgrounds in Probation, Parole, or Corrections do not qualify as BLET law enforcement. These candidates would still be required to attend BLET classes and would be unable to be on a post, so we cannot move forward with them.
* Active Experience: We are looking for candidates with active law enforcement experience within the last 3 years. The exception would be in-state candidates who have served at least 1 year in a full-time capacity as a sworn police officer and left their previous department in good standing.
