As a Armed Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Carson City, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site-specific protocols, maintaining professional bearing and handling security-related concerns with sound judgment.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to help support orderly operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A private investigator license unarmed is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
