Job Description


As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Residential Patrol Officer where you will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support residents and property teams with agility, reliability, and integrity while working in a caring culture built on teamwork and innovation.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, maintenance-related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through proper channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or property concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, document daily events and incident details, and communicate observations with property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Support a welcoming residential environment by addressing questions, providing directions, and helping to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and professional interaction.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Security-related experience of at least 6 months is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
