What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, courtyards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
• Serve in an armed patrol role by carrying authorized equipment in accordance with post orders, company policies, and applicable laws while maintaining professionalism during daily interactions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces to help support authorized access, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance, hazard, and/or policy-related issues to the proper contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
