As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, control access to restricted areas, and support established movement procedures for people, property, and/or vehicles.
• Support facility operations by observing inmate and visitor activity, reporting unusual behavior or conditions, and assisting with security-related protocols during counts, escorts, transports, and/or emergency situations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
