Job Description


As a Security Officer Entry Control Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Pay Rate: $21.60 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic media and technology location.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, gates, and credential checkpoints to help regulate visitor, employee, and contractor access in line with post instructions.
  • Verify identification, issue visitor passes, maintain entry and exit logs, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding approved access requests and/or restrictions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and escalating them through the proper chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, support access control operations, and report site issues or policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
