You will support access awareness, observe daily activity, and deliver strong customer service and communication with care, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to document observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor activity, verifying permitted entry, and/or reporting unauthorized persons or suspicious behavior.
• Support shelter operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and/or reporting maintenance, behavioral, or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
