Job Description


As a Security Officer TWIC Patrol Driver in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support site operations through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Working in a caring culture built on teamwork, agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, you will play an important role in daily site coverage.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and parking locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document site activity in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Observe and report spills, equipment issues, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and complete accurate logs, reports, and shift pass-down notes for security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
