Job Description


As a Armed Security Officer - Driving Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding communication and service. This is an armed and driving post for a dependable professional who brings integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach to every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location requirements, while remaining prepared to respond to escalating situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • CPO certification is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
