As a Security Officer Security Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, conduct screening procedures, and support smooth daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and security-related policies for a fast-paced logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving designated areas, documenting activity and reporting irregularities according to post procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
• Assist with maintaining accurate logs, visitor records, and incident reports, while communicating clearly with site contacts, drivers, and team members throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
