Job Description


As a Security Officer Entry Control in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access processes, and monitor activity throughout assigned areas. This role offers the chance to stay visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication while representing a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers, and help to deter unauthorized access through credential checks and visitor processing.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Support logistics and distribution operations by monitoring vehicle traffic, verifying authorized pickups and deliveries, and communicating with site contacts regarding access-related issues and/or operational concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
