What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, restricted area concerns, and other security-related issues according to site protocols.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders for an armed patrol assignment, and preparing clear incident and activity reports before, during, and after each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
