As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help address security-related concerns through strong communication and attention to detail. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization for access, and document visitor activity in accordance with location protocols.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unauthorized access, unsecured areas, and other security-related issues.
• Communicate with staff and the public in a professional manner while helping to support orderly access, movement, and adherence to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
