Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional presence through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while following post orders and applicable protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and document security-related incidents, patrol findings, and/or operational concerns in required logs and reports.
  • Work closely with site personnel, law enforcement representatives, and/or emergency responders when needed to support orderly operations and appropriate incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
