Job Description


As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and support access control and customer interactions. In this role, you will help promote a professional environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while staying agile, reliable, and innovative in daily security-related responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response guidelines at a dynamic technology and communications location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify potential concerns related to access control, property conditions, and other security-related matters.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
  • Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and assisting with security-related requests in changing indoor and outdoor environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
