What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Assist with monitoring access points, visitor flow, and restricted areas while communicating with hospital personnel and/or first responders when needed.
• Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy concerns, and by providing directions and general assistance to guests and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Hospital-required vaccines are required.
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
