As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, parking areas, facilities, and perimeter locations while remaining prepared to carry authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor access points, observe public activity, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, hazards, and/or policy violations to help support order at the location.
• Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and direction during service interruptions, emergencies, and/or special activities while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
