Job Description


As a Armed Security Officer - Hospital Setting in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring a caring, agile approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while providing armed presence throughout the location.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
  • Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards, post orders, and applicable laws while using sound judgment and professionalism during daily interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess a current CPO certification.
  • Possess a current armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
