Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support public-facing operations with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic spaces while verifying credentials, controlling access, and following post orders for government operations and public-facing services.
  • Support emergency and routine operations by communicating clearly with supervisors, employees, visitors, and/or first responders, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
