Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or administrators by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal guidelines while exercising sound judgment and professionalism during routine duties and emergency situations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic during arrival, dismissal, and special events, and support security-related operations across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, and/or military service.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
