As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Services in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach while helping create a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or customer concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and team member activity, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support a professional retail location by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions and information, and communicating clearly with store leadership, visitors, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
