Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Rover in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support the community through strong communication, teamwork, and reliable service while representing Allied Universal’s caring and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces while verifying credentials, screening authorized access, and supporting order throughout the location.
  • Operate assigned communication devices and related equipment, remain prepared to respond to alarms and calls for service, and complete required reports related to daily activities and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
