As a Armed Security Officer Patrol in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, including production spaces, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to access points and restricted areas.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Support incident response by communicating with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership when needed, while maintaining professionalism and attention to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
