As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Detail in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer patrolling a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, helping to support a secure environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and strong communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production support areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as required, and support site rules for restricted areas and controlled locations.
• Communicate with site contacts, emergency services, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or changing conditions that may impact operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
