As a Security Officer Lobby Ambassador in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Professional in an education location, where you will welcome students, staff, and visitors, manage access control and badge activity, and support daily security-related operations through clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an educational location.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes when applicable, and documenting front desk activity.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
  • Support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with directions, information, and front desk assistance while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
  • Observe lobby and entry activity from the assigned front desk post and report unusual behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
