As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Job Description: Access Control Operators will help control access to Rivian facilities domestically and internationally. Operators will assist in the day-to-day credentialing aspect from issuing or removing credentials, pulling daily transactions reports approved by Rivian HR leadership team, monitoring a shared inbox to assist with external or internal communication inquiries regarding all areas of access using different apps and email services that are used to support the functions of the job. Access control operators will also provide information about contingent worker onboarding process. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Regular Post Orders: Arrive at assigned post location promptly, ready to work at the start of shift by clocking in with Mercury app to begin shift and ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed. Log into desktop computers or laptops and begin opening daily used apps that support the operating functions of the job which include; Genetec Security Desk & ClearID, Outlook Mailbox, ServiceNow Portal, Slack, and SharePoint (SharePoint has many different web browsers used across the team that links are provide to operators during training). Regularly monitor inbox to respond to email correspondence and complete incoming requests. Monitor ServiceNow ticket queue to ensure tickets are completed in a swift manner. Customer service is to be exceptional, always make sure you are following the 4’s, Stand, Smile, Speak & Serve. 

 

  •  Call-offs: Access Control Operators are expected to arrive on shift and on time. Operators must wait for their relief to arrive. In the event there is a call off, or no call no show, an operator will be mandated to stay over 4 hours to help cover the shift, so a dark post does not take place. The Access Control supervisor or scheduling administrator will work to have coverage for the remaining hours. If coverage cannot be found, the Access Control Operator that was mandated to stay over should reach out to Allied Universal Management via phone informing that they have stayed over their mandated time and that a relief has not arrived and that they are now leaving. The Access Control supervisor or management will then report any dark hours to the client. 

 

  •  Incident Response: Access Control Operators should have the Security Operations Center (SOC) number saved in case of an incident. Operators should contact the SOC to have Rivian Security Dispatched for assistance if security is on site. In the event they are not, they will follow site orders and contact 911. 

 

  •       Occasional Office Duties: Includes, but not limited to: Performing badge audits on badges stored in badge holders, cleaning workspaces to make sure everything is clean for the next incoming shift, issuing parking placards if applicable for assigned location.  

 

  •    Complete Essentials in EDGE: Completing monthly Rivian training in Edge and other standard assigned AUS training course

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    *A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
