Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post for professionals who bring integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior, theft-related concerns, trespassing, and/or other unusual conditions, and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols and site expectations.
  • Maintain post readiness by following armed post orders, handling assigned equipment responsibly, and completing required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation before the end of each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
