Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Duty in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings a reliable, agile approach to armed post responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence within post guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and support coordination with site contacts, visitors, employees, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
