As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support access activities and site protocols. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response guidelines at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor entry points, badge activity, and visitor movement to help support security-related policies, protect confidential work areas, and report concerns to site leadership.
  • Assist with incident reporting, preliminary investigations, and follow-up on security-related matters, maintaining detailed records and sharing relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
