Job Description


As a Security Officer Clinical Patrol in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism and care. This role combines patrol duties, customer service, and communication in a team-focused environment built on reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access as directed by site procedures, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Support healthcare operations by communicating with staff and visitors, providing directions when needed, and following post orders related to patient-focused and visitor-focused environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
