Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism in an armed post assignment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to enforce entry procedures by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with site policies.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Must have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Must possess a college degree.
  • Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Must possess a corrections officer license.
  • Must possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Must possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
