Pay Rate: $18.78 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and applicable laws.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter of the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Assist with access control, visitor screening, and restricted area monitoring while documenting security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in a clear and timely manner.
  • Support healthcare staff during escalated situations by using strong communication, de-escalation, and coordination with supervisors, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
