Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, visitor direction, and orderly movement throughout the location.
  • Assist with de-escalation support, when appropriate, and communicate with staff and emergency personnel during medical, behavioral, and/or security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
