As a Security Officer Patrol Technician in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. At Allied Universal, our officers patrol a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, staying visible to help discourage security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. This unarmed role includes routine patrols, keen observation, and exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter locations, with awareness that working conditions may vary.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, and help to deter unauthorized persons and/or prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
• Support security-related operations at an industrial location by observing for hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, then communicating findings to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
