Job Description


As a Armed Security Patrol - Residential in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct visible patrols, support security-related activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post for professionals who bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to every shift while helping to deter incidents and contributing to a caring, people-first culture.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, common areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and other property-related issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying credentials, controlling access, and supporting security-related procedures for deliveries, contractors, and visitor activity.
  • Support emergency and alarm response by assessing situations, providing clear communication, and assisting with evacuations, medical calls, and other incident-related actions according to site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
