Job Description


As a Security Officer Dispatch Console in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional in an education location, where you will monitor communications, coordinate responses to security-related activity, and support daily operations with clear communication and strong attention to detail. In this role, you will help maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, cameras, and/or dispatch systems to receive calls for service and communicate security-related information to on-site personnel in a calm, professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to coordinate communication between officers, school representatives, and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident details, activity reports, and other required documentation related to calls for service, notifications, and shift activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, campus grounds, and perimeter areas as needed, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet the 40 WPM minimum requirement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
