Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to support an orderly environment, and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Document observations, patrol activity, and incident details in required reports, and provide clear updates during shift changes and/or when requested by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include exposure to the morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
