As a Security Officer Dispatch Operator in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related support, and security-related response activities for an industrial location.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and document calls for service, and coordinate the timely routing of security-related incidents, alarms, and requests to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining clear communication with on-site teams, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Track activity logs, incident details, and status updates with accuracy, helping to support shift handoffs, reporting needs, and ongoing operational awareness.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, while also observing shipping, receiving, parking, and other high-traffic areas for unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
