What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and access control protocols at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to control authorized access for people, vehicles, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited access attempts, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs, badge records, and other access-related documentation in accordance with site policies and reporting expectations.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate and report suspicious, unusual, and/or security-related activity according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • An armed guard card and guard card is required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
