As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Our Security Officers monitor and patrol an educational location, helping to support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. In this driving post, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location protocols, helping to support an orderly environment during school hours, events, and/or after-hours operations.
• Assist with security-related support during arrivals, dismissals, athletic events, and/or special campus activities while maintaining a professional presence and providing clear directions when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a valid DCJS license in Virginia.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
