As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to unusual activity and/or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry while following visitor protocols, staff direction, and location procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or disturbances and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local staff, and/or emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
