Job Description


As a Security Officer Dispatch Operations in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic tech/media/telecom location. In this role, you will monitor assigned areas, coordinate security-related communications, document activity, and help support timely responses to incidents and alarms. You will remain a visible, dependable presence while delivering strong customer service. Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities from a dispatch post.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to coordinate communication with on-site personnel, first responders, and/or designated site contacts.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm activity, radio traffic, and other dispatch systems to help identify unusual activity and support timely reporting of security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, visitor activity, dispatch communications, and daily events in required logs and reports, following site policies and Allied Universal standards.
  • Support regular and random patrol operations by dispatching personnel as needed, tracking status updates, and helping to maintain awareness of activity around the location and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience are required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
